I just drank a huge green smoothie of dandelions, kale, lemon and ginger. It was bitter! It’s slightly more palatable with an apple and less dandelion, but however you work it you’ll have to face up to the bitterness. You can stir fry the leaves or put them in a salad, but I prefer to get it over with as fast as possible so I gulp down smoothies. Dandelion cleans your blood, really useful if you drink alcohol. Once I fed some dandelions in a stir fry to a friend who drank heavily, and about half an hour after he was doubled over in pain coming from his kidneys. It lasted about two hours. True story!
The first time I ate a dandelion smoothie I fell asleep straight after, and I didn’t want to because I had stuff to do. I felt like I’d been drugged. Same story the first time I ate the roots in a smoothie. Watch out kids this stuff is strong.
This is the best photo of dandelions I can find on tumblr, but you know what to look for. The plants are less bitter before the flower stalk appears, and younger leaves are less bitter. Catsear looks nearly exactly the same as dandelion except it has hairy leaves, but that’s OK because that plant is edible too. 
I’ve also been eating bacon, bone broth, fish oil, whipped cream and berries, salads and of course lots of meat. My mum bought me a stick of lard to cook with, I didn’t even know that existed! I also have a tub of tallow from the bone broth. Totally set. 
Might go hunt some mallow and plantain tomorrow.
